About Cabbie Glass

AN ARTIST FROM THE AGE OF TWO, I have spent my life exploring the rich world of imagination and applying it to the creation of original images, from illustration to fiber arts, beadwork and doll-making to 3D computer graphics and writing.

Described by parents, teachers, and employers alike as a hopeless daydreamer with my head in the clouds I have always felt most at home in the constantly shifting worlds of symbols, myths, dreams, and feelings.

An INFP (Introverted, Intuitive, Feeling, Perceptive) type on the Jungian Personality Type Index, I am a Type 4 Enneagram, and a questing Sagittarius with a fairytale Libra Moon. I consider myself the quintessential poetic artist with a natural affinity for beauty, ever in pursuit of the romantic ideal.

To explore and master unfathomable heights of imagination through innovative and unexplored forms of creativity has always been my highest aspiration.  What drives me to adopt the Creator archetype is the need to do two things: to give structure to a largely unstructured world; and to turn dreams into reality.

Whether designing a bracelet from a collection of fibers and beads, bringing a whimsical Pixie to life in the form of a soft sculpture doll, or weaving an erotic tale of love and adventure through the magic of language, my preferred method is to begin with a simple foundation upon which to construct a richly detailed piece of art. I take enormous pleasure in the process of creation itself, allowing the materials to guide me.

I remember sitting on my Grandpa’s lap when I was a baby, utterly enchanted with his primitive stick figures, depicting little girls with curly hair like mine. I knew right then what I wanted to do. I could hardly wait to get started.
